The Chief Perquisite of ALA Membership

From the horse's mouth, or perhaps some other part of the horse, the truth comes out. From a job ad for an associate editor for American Libraries, the Annoyed Librarian discovered that American Libraries is "the chief perquisite of ALA membership."

Wow! That's certainly worth $130/year.

The sad thing is, they're right. That probably is the chief perquisite. Rather pathetic, isn't it, this ALA membership perk.
