well what you DO is, buy'em wholesale & mark'em up... "We encourage sharing these badges with other change agents. Feel free to order badges for your organization, award them to colleagues and friends, or pass them out at your next meeting or conference. Each badge costs $2.50, and we require a minimum of 25 badges per order." Metropolitan Group is a Consulting firm, apparently.
Who exactly at ALA comes up with this nonsense? I'm sick of the notion that one is irrelevant unless one is constantly advocating change in the profession. The fact that they have a "Catalyst for Change" award is especially irksome. At least I'll never have to worry about having such a dubious honor bestowed on me.
The Annoyed Librarian is possibly the most successful, respected, and desirable librarian of her generation. She has no other interest than to bring her wit and wisdom to the huddled librarian masses yearning to breathe free. The Annoyed Librarian is a free spirit and you are lucky to have her.

Oh no you didn't....
"Change agents" and capitalism? Don't tell that to the regressive librarians.
And make a few extra bucks on the side to make ends meet.
That was sort of what I thought when I saw the button. It seems pretty much the folks in those circles are practically drooling over the buttons.

Well, making change is one way to collect the fines for overdue books.
